it's a baby journa-zine!!
Urban farming talks - starting right now~ And pre-orders for The Sauce - on soil~
Hi folks, I’ve been away for a while, but am getting back into the swing of writings. And more soon about where I am, and how I am!
Before then, here are a couple quick! links about online, upcoming meets happening in Singapore, for the weekend - for interest!
Here's the first -
Bringing together folks from Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and London - https://oursanctuaryforum.peatix.com/ - today - Friday, 7-9pm SGT (+8GMT), 1-3pm CET (+2GMT) - co-curated by Bjorn Low and Michelle Lai. Organised as part of the architectural festival, ArchiFest, in Singapore.
And the second -
As some of you may know, I’ve been working on a new initiative, Foodscape Pages, which seeks to be a gathering point for thoughtful, contemporary perspectives on food, farming and community in Southeast Asia.
Foodscape Pages is doing a soft launch of a new journa-zine, The Sauce, tomorrow. While that's happening as a small in-person gathering of persons, we are also taking pre-orders for Issue #1! This first issue, on Soil, follows the biophysical and social aspects of soil – from tidbits on soil science and history, to personal journeys in composting, essays on our relationships with soil, articles on growing methods, and interviews with farmers living in Singapore, Thailand, and Johor Bahru on their regenerative practices.

Much more for folks interested in the doings and on-the-ground of what's happening, and although this is mostly based in Singapore, we're looking to do more with networks in the region in our next issue (on Seed :)) Get in touch if you'd be keen to suggest, or propose something for the next issue! We start production work in November :3

Bye for now, and more soon~
